This is Nego Fugido
A tradition that occurs in the town of Acupe, Bahia, in July. Every Sunday of the month, there are displays and theatrical reenactments of the persecution, capture, escape and eventual liberation of enslaved Africans in the region. The tradition takes place during the month of July as a form of spiritual intervention, a way to stave off the plague that devastated the populations of Acupe in the month of August.
